Catering & partnerships

Mexican-inspired plant-based meals for events, school nutrition programs, nonprofits, and recurring community feeds. We work small, we say honest things about capacity, and we partner well with people doing real work in the region.

Who we partner with

We're a small kitchen — work with us if our scale matches your need. We'll tell you early when it doesn't.

Schools & nutrition programs

K–12, after-school, and adult-ed programs running plant-based or culturally grounded meal options. Allergen-conscious, low-sodium, high-protein meals built for school nutrition standards.

Nonprofits & community orgs

Food banks, mutual aid groups, community health initiatives (including CHAN-style better-health programs). Sliding-scale pricing options available; we support grant applications with the documentation reviewers ask for.

Workplaces & events

Team lunches, retreats, conferences, and small-to-mid event catering. Better than the usual sandwich tray — actual cooking, served at scale.

Community feeds & gatherings

Cultural events, religious gatherings, memorials, weddings, and recurring community meals. We've worked with cooks across cuisines and adapt the menu to fit the gathering.

How it works

1

You tell us what you need

Group size, date, dietary mix, budget range. The more specific, the faster we can confirm.

2

We confirm scope & price

Within 1–2 business days. We'll surface anything that needs a commissary alternative (over MEHKO's 30-meal daily cap), or route you somewhere better if our scale isn't right.

3

Tasting / pilot (optional)

For recurring programs, a sample run before locking the partnership.

4

Deliver & iterate

Delivery (or pickup) on event day. For ongoing programs, weekly or monthly check-ins to adjust portions, menu rotation, and dietary needs.

Frequently asked

What's your minimum order size?

For catering: typically 15–30 meals. We work with smaller community programs case-by-case. For recurring partnerships, we set a regular cadence that fits your needs.

What's your maximum?

Under MEHKO, our home kitchen is capped at 30 meals/day. For volumes above that we route through a shared commissary kitchen in Riverside or Pomona — same menu, same recipes, larger output. We tell you up front when this is in play.

How far in advance?

Single catering events: 1–2 weeks. Recurring programs: set the cadence at intake; we lock the schedule together. Last-minute requests under 72 hours — ask, we'll tell you if it's feasible.

Allergies and dietary needs?

All food is fully vegan. Gluten-free, soy-free, and nut-free versions of most entrees available with advance notice. Allergens called out per item. Detailed allergen sheets available for school and care-facility partners.

What areas do you serve?

High Desert (Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto) and the San Fernando Valley corridor. Outside that — ask, we may be able to coordinate or refer you to a partner kitchen.

How is pricing structured?

Per-meal pricing varies with volume, dietary complexity, and delivery. Sliding-scale options for community nonprofits and mutual aid. We can prepare a documented quote for grant applications.

Can you support grant applications?

Yes. See Credentials for the documentation page reviewers can verify. We can provide a letter of partnership, written quotes, allergen and nutrition sheets, and certificates of insurance on request.
